The Drama Jocks’ SportsCast #42: Our New Bronze Bud

Here’s hoping the Twins realize there’s still a month left in this baseball season– and a number of important games to be played.  Meanwhile in Milwaukee, they’re playing out the string, but there could be some lineup shuffling after the September call-ups…

NFL wants to go to 18 games, you say?  As early as 2012, you say?  Whatever it takes to make this televised pre-season BS a little more tolerable, I say.

Back at Miller Park, the Brewers brass erected a statue of baseball’s commissioner and former Brewers owner, Bud Selig this week.  What’s the discrepancy between the national and local perception of Mr. Selig?

Bocko & BryGuy #20: Little Green Men

On this week’s show we really get into it about sci-fi movies.  What are you favorites?  Most memorable?  Most important?  We try to hit ‘em all.

I give you my review of the new(est) Black Keys album, Brothers. Suffice it to say, I rate it awesome.

Bryan is fan of How I Met Your Mother on CBS, and I just started watching it this week.  We also talk a little about the upcoming TV season.

The Drama Jocks’ SportsCast #41: The Passion of the Favre

Baseball season is winding down in Milwaukee, but the scrappy Brewers are still playing hard, as evidenced by their quick 2-game sweep of St. Louis down at Busch Stadium this week.  We also answer the question: who is this Lorenzo Cain, and where has he been all my life?

Across the river in Twinkie Town, there’s not a lot to squawk about with the Twins on a 9-1 streak, and just coming off a successful series against the White Sox.  What are their prospects for the post-season, though?

The Packers dropped a tough one to Cleveland the open the pre-season, but of course it’s going to be a 19-0 season for the Queens, now that his holiness the Purple Cheezus has descended on Eden Prairie once more… oh, it is glorious to be (sort of) free of the Favre…
