The Drama Jocks’ SportsCast #44: American Football Opener!

On this week’s show, we welcome our chief foreign correspondent to join the prognostication crew for another season of NFL football…

Before that, Josh and I get into the baseball history made this week in Milwaukee and Minneapolis, respectively.

As you listen to the show that clocks in around 84 minutes this week, remember that this is only an exhibition, not a competition, so please: no wagering.  That being said, here’s what you really showed up for: THE PICKS!

The Drama Jocks’ SportsCast #43: A Dark Horse (or Fish) Will Rise

We’re cruising into post-season baseball at this point, waiting for something exciting or important to occur.  Good thing we’ve something to hold our attention during the month of September– FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS IN A WEEK.

Enjoy this hour-long “NFL Preview” edition of the SportsCast…

The Drama Jocks’ SportsCast #42: Our New Bronze Bud

Here’s hoping the Twins realize there’s still a month left in this baseball season– and a number of important games to be played.  Meanwhile in Milwaukee, they’re playing out the string, but there could be some lineup shuffling after the September call-ups…

NFL wants to go to 18 games, you say?  As early as 2012, you say?  Whatever it takes to make this televised pre-season BS a little more tolerable, I say.

Back at Miller Park, the Brewers brass erected a statue of baseball’s commissioner and former Brewers owner, Bud Selig this week.  What’s the discrepancy between the national and local perception of Mr. Selig?

Thanks as always, and enjoy the show.

The Drama Jocks’ SportsCast #39: Super Teams

On this week’s podcast:

  • We re-cap the last-minute deals that went down in MLB and what they might mean for the teams that pulled the trigger.
  • An assessment of NBA “super team”: a new regime, or a fad that is sure to die?
  • As training camp opens, which teams in the NFC North might be feeling Super?
  • Shaq always fancied himself a “superman.”  This movie proves he’s definitely not a super actor.

Enjoy the show; thanks for listening…
